Pretty Woman

PLOT

Julia Roberts plays Vivian Ward, an attractive hooker with a good heart, who gets acquainted with a corporate honcho Edward Lewis (Richard Gere), while the latter is asking for directions to reach a hotel. He likes her attitude and hires her as an escort for himself and agrees to pay her $3000 for a week. Her other "guilty pleasures" include staying at a five-star hotel, bankrolling a full wardrobe and cosmetic makeover. She is transformed from an ugly duckling to a charming swan so to say. During this time, Edward is undergoing a business deal with James Morse and his grandson David, which includes buying the company, breaking it up and selling it for profit (which is his main work). James Morse snubs Edward and the chapter closes down.

In the meantime, Edward and Vivian’s relationship changes to friendship and the latter ends up falling in love with him. Out of jealousy, he even insults her once, but as he realizes and apologizes for his mistake, the couple comes back on track once again. Some beautiful days follow, in which Vivian is able to change Edward’s bitter behavior in terms of his business. Soon, he even makes James Morse and offer that is agreeable to him and changes his course of ways. In the end, he proposes Vivian and a happy ending follows. The movie has a culmination of comedy, romance, and drama all making it a perfect entertainer. It is an ideal movie to be watched with your beloved to spend a romantic evening with just the two of you.

Opinion

I write about this movie because it is one of my favorites and I want to know if you like it as much as I do

Halloween

The night of Halloween

What we now know as Halloween or Halloween is celebrated more than 3000 years ago by the Celts, a warlike people inhabiting parts of Ireland, England, Scotland and France. Precisely on October 31, the Celts celebrated the end of the year with Samhain, a pagan festival. With European immigration to the United States, mainly the Irish Catholics in 1846, came the tradition of Halloween to America. When it comes to Halloween or Day of the Witches you think costumes, makeup, party, sweets and children, but tradition says that his celebration was not always festive and cheerful, and that the rites that were practiced during the night had a character and religious purifier.October 31 is a date associated with the dead, lost souls, witches and spells. These characteristics are due to its proximity to the day of the dead, which led the Catholic Church and commemorated on November 1. As in other New Year festivals, on this date the dead were back among the living. The custom of trick or treating door to door (trick-or-treating) became popular around 1930. It is believed, not back to the Celtic culture but derives from a practice that emerged in Europe during the ninth century called souling, a kind of service to souls. The practice spread in the United States as an attempt by the authorities to control the barbarity that occurred during the night of Halloween.

Trick or Treat:

Children and those who are not so disguised, while competing with each other to see which is the most horrific of all disguise, and go from house to house giving the famous ultimatum "trick or treat" (trick or treating) . Know the origin and meaning of this famous expression undoubtedly the favorite of children on the night of Halloween.

Miley Cyrus

The biography of Miley Cyrus

Born Destiny Hope Cyrus on November 23, 1992, in Franklin, Tennessee, Miley Cyrus is the daughter of '90s country star Billy Rayy Cyrus. (She later changed her name to "Miley," the nickname she was given as a baby for often smiling.) Cyrus grew up on the family farm, near Nashville, Tennessee, with two siblings and three half-siblings. She was passionate about acting at a young age, appearing on her father's television series, Doc, and in Tim Burton's Big Fish (2003).

'Hannah Montana'

in 2004, Cyrus beat out 1,000 hopefuls to land the starring role of Miley Stewart on the hit Disney show Hannah Montana. The tween series features a young pop superstar (Montana) who hides her celebrity identity to be an everyday teen in real life (Stewart).
To accommodate filming, the entire family moved to Los Angeles, California, in 2005; Billy Ray plays her fictional dad-manager on the show. Cyrus released a successful Hannah Montana soundtrack album in 2006.
In 2007, Cyrus's double album, Hannah Montana 2: Meet Miley Cyrus, launched a tour: "Best of Both Worlds." The concert series sold out in record time, and the show was extended by 14 dates to help placate disappointed fans. Her successful 3-D concert film collected $31.3 million during its opening weekend in February 2008. Cyrus reportedly earned $18.2 million in 2007.

Pop and Film Star

Cyrus changed her legal name to Miley Ray Cyrus in 2008. That same year, she found

herself amidst controversy for posing for revealing photographs taken by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz, which appeared in Vanity Fair magazine. The resulting criticism and media frenzy did little damage to her career, however. Her second studio album, Breakout (2008), was a huge hit, reaching the top of the pop album charts.
Also in 2009, Cyrus released the EP The Time of Our Lives, featuring the hit singles "Party in the U.S.A." and "When I Look at You," the former being the singer's most successful song to date, selling more than 5.38 million copies and earning a spot among the best-selling singles of all time.
In 2010, Cyrus starred in the romantic drama The Last Song, a film based on a novel of the same name by Nicholas Sparks.
Enthusiasm for Cyrus's TV alter ego remained strong for several years, as well. In April 2009, Hannah Montana: The Movie scored at the box office, bringing in more than $79 million. The young star followed that success with the release of a new album, 2010's Can't Be Tamed.
Cyrus has sought to distance herself from her Hannah Montana persona. She cut her hair short and took to wearing edgy fashions as part of her effort to craft a new image of herself. But no one was quite prepared for how far she would go. At the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony held in August 2013, Cyrus stunned the audience with her lewd and raunchy performance of her latest single, "We Can't Stop." But the controversy stirred up by this stunningly explicit appearance seemed to bolster sales of Cyrus's fourth studio album, Bangerz, released in early October 2013.
